Week 4 - Round 7-4 - Sim State Uni - Whispering Winds

All right! The votes are in and Rowan Night will be pledging into the Greek House. Thanks to all of you who voted. I was getting a little worried there that I'd have to decide myself, but then suddenly 3 of you voted, so hurray for you guys! My son also said he wanted to vote for Rowan so that puts it up to 4 votes for Rowan, 0 votes for April. I guess this means that I get to torment Sim-Me!!! I actually usually make fun of her butt. Sorry for the delay in posting. I stupidly decided to let Windows update itself last night, and it froze there for most of the night before I finally got sick of it and did a hard reboot.

Tara is apparently picking up some of my bad habits. This girl never gets dressed. She even goes to class in her pajamas if I let her. Course, those are classy pajamas, but still.

Rowan's discovered that the girls have the complete Anita Blake collection. From the shocked expression on her face she must be reading one of the later books.

"Really? You want me to pledge? I'd be honored."

April's been put on a swimming workout because somebody keeps bringing pizza to the house when they're not even hungry.

Rowan's finally spent enough time doing other people's school work to start doing her own. I'm really sick of her hair though. She's had the same hair for the past 4 failed legacies, and the last 2 neighborhoods I built for the kids. She needs a makeover before I introduce her.

The girls decided to throw a Toga party to introduce Rowan to all the teens in the neighborhood. For some reason Rowan's still wondering around in her yoga outfit, but whatever. Introductions, let's see, the blond on the bass is Lauren, Loretta and Billy are playing red hands, Rowan is stalking Bobby, and the one standing by the camera is Cora. Sierra's bowling, so she's not in the picture, but she comes to all the parties here at Whispering Winds.

Rowan finally changed into her Toga. I don't think we'll be seeing her in it often, so I thought we'd get a pic.

No sooner was she in her toga than she was out of it. Joining her in the hot tub are Billy, Bobby, and Loretta. These are the three teens who will be leaving for college the soonest, so I thought she'd better get to know them.

Rowan entered the house with her class bar nearly full, and after writing her term paper she now has nearly 50 hours where she doesn't need to do anything college related. Skilling Time! I've warned her that Tara will be taking her punching bag with her when she leaves. She's not pleased that it will be leaving, as you can see from her face.

Tara's been keeping in touch with Abhijeet, but hasn't had a lot of dating time. I finally convinced her that guys don't wait around forever if you only call them on the phone and she invited him over. Well, what had started as a crush rushed into love. They both want to get engaged and married, but I've convinced them to wait till after Tara graduates.

After spending the whole day with her friend the punching bag Rowan has maxed out her first skill. College Knowledge sims suck in that they rarely roll up the want to skill. Boo!

Like all Knowledge sims, Rowan is fascinated by the stars.

"Well, that was easy" Yeah, and you couldn't let me get a picture of you thinking about it without scratching your armpits, huh?

This is the booty that Tara will be bringing home with her, she also has some robots, flowers, and toys that Eddie, April, Kirsty, and Amber gave her.

And here she is all grown-up. It's kinda skank-meets-trailerpark, but for some reason, I actually kinda like it. Besides, she'll be taking care of pets all day, so a really nice outfit would be unrealistic.

Here's April's stash. She's also got all the toys she's ever made, but she didn't get housewarming presents from the other grads, because they already gave them to Eddie.

Well, she grew-up well, but with horrid fashion sense. You'll be getting a makeover when you get to Knowlton dear.

That leaves just Rowan at Whispering Winds. She's being a pain in my backside however. She refuses to roll up college wants, or skill wants. I suppose I'll have to find her a spouse too.

The first thing Eddie did, even before he got his post-grad makeover, was to go job hunting. No Science positions today, so he job bounced awhile before settling on an Acting job as the Leading Man (highest paying available, lol).

Apparently Marissa is angry that the only townies making it into the story nowadays are college students. Don't worry dear, one of these days I may attempt an Apacolypse Legacy, and I'll be sure to remember you. *evil cackle*

Yes Eddie, April will be graduating soon enough. I'm just leaving it up to the readers to decide when. Either way, for you she'll be here by Thursday 10:30pm.

Eddie's earning more badges, I think I will let him try to earn all of them. The worse thing that happens is that he doesn't get them all. No biggie. And he'll have fun in the meantime!

Early Tuesday morning Eddie finds what he's been looking for a job in Science! Of course because of maxing out all his skills and taking the appropriate college course and having gone to private school, he's a Level 9 already!

Here's a nice overhead of Eddie's new place, now that it's up to Tigerblue's standards.

Eddie didn't get a promotion Tuesday, so after a quick dinner all by himself, he's back to work at the robot station, but this time he's got some help from his little snapdragon friends!

YAY!!! LTW Accomplished. You get one night of it, but tonight when you get back you find a higher paying job. Now go build robots.

The one and only time Eddie will go to work as a Mad Scientist.

"Now it feels like Home"

Eddie's spent most of his life in Energizers. I don't think he can live without them.

And so the round ends with Eddie pounding away on what will be a Munchie bot.

As you can see, Kirsty already got her makeover, and I'm actually ok with what Weldon is wearing. Besides, it's cute that his shirt goes so well with her skirt. Weldon brought $9,000 with him by the way.

Since Weldon hates formal clothes they decided to get married right there on the sidewalk. Besides, he's a family sim and we mustn't waste time!

The welcome wagon once again consisted of just Tina. Where's everyone else?

No luck, so they made sure to maintain the mood and keep trying. After about four tries they were successful. Bless dating, because otherwise this baby marathon would have them on the brink of death.

Having successfully insured the birth of at least one child, Kirsty heads to the computer. She's in luck! There's an opening in Crime. The downside is that she doesn't work until Friday morning.

Gotta keep her busy so she's opened her Robot shop. It's got a small selection at the moment, but that's for the best since she needs to learn the register and restocking.

Since Weldon is a Family sim the first thing he wants to do after getting married and starting a baby is to gain cooking and cleaning points. Happy to oblige. Weldon is a Psychic Phone Pal right now. I had meant for him to go into Law or Business, but no openings in either.

Ok, it's official, we no longer hate Ricky, he just bought the two most expensive robots we had in stock.

Umm, yeah, 'cause you forgot that you spent most of Monday trying to get pregnant right?

Hmm, left over college pizza. Oh well, at least there's no prep time. It's hard running a business when you're pregnant.
