These are the stories of the citizens of Knowlton - A Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge. If you love it, if you hate it, if you saw something you wanted to talk about, PLEASE leave comments. I'm a sad pathetic human, and I live for comments.

For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo! Group or the BBS thread at the official site.

The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! Week 5 - Round 10 - Rainseeker Home

Someone, most likely Sierra bought a dog named Alegra, who turned out to be a sweetheart. Neil reached the top of the Medical track, thus achieving his LTW, and the ghosts continued to drive the family crazy.

Welcome home Billy!

Billy's College Years

Senior Year

Time to sell off the proceeds of Billy's dating madness in college.

Now that Billy is home, Neil has decided it's time to remove himself and his children from the household. Of course Sierra's going with them. Neil doesn't want to be living in someone else's home, he wants to be King of his OWN castle. They also decide to take Alegra, but Bonkers is staying with Billy. After all, Sierra did buy him for Billy and Bobby.

"Bye guys! Don't be strangers!"

Billy isn't a horrible person. He's sending his mother and Neil half of the available cash from the household funds. It amounts to $35,000, and it should help them and his half-brother and sister buy a decent home. To be honest, Billy probably would have been just as happy if Sierra, Neil, Laura and Fraser had stayed. It would have given him some back-up for the inevitable children that Daisy will want. That's actually why they had to go. This house may be a mansion, but despite what the town's folk of Knowlton may think, I'm not a goddess, and I'm not ready to handle a family THAT huge!

Time to find a job.... Music, Law, Education, Business, and Athletic. After taking each job in turn, Billy decides to stick with Education until Culinary comes up.

Thank goodness Remington is here. Nobody bothered to clean Bonkers' litter box before they all left.

He even cleaned Panda's cage!

Poor lonely Bonkers, nobody to play with.

"Hey! I thought I was done learning!"

Well Billy, that does it, you've maxed out your logic. Should make cheating at chess even easier.

I think this may be the real reason that Neil and Serena were so anxious to leave Billy with his inheritance. I also rather think that Billy may have forgotten all about the ghosts while he was at college.

Billy decided to spend a little time getting reaquainted with Bonkers.

Then it was Panda's turn. The Wormrats are kinda cute.

Mom, who is Billy's half-sister, decided to get him. Mom is the only one in this family that I never explained the inheritance rules to, and I think she's a little miffed that Aremis didn't inherit the house.

Well, now you know what your cat is looking at when you don't see anything....

Nice look Billy, I'm sure that'll make Abbie stop talking about your sexual preferences, lol.

"Daisy, my love, welcome to Knowlton!"

Quickly followed by the Move In shot....

Followed by the Grow-Up shot. I actually like her outfit, so we just need to change her hair.

Glitch time! For some reason, Billy just couldn't go to work. By the time I resolved this problem he was already three hours late. Gah! There goes his work performance.

The Pederson's left these poor trees in awful shape, now it's up to Daisy to save them.

Geez, Neil, I know this is supposed to be your chapter, but you just moved out for crying out loud!

"What? You want me to throw a Wedding Party? Who's getting married?"
Not the brightest sim, our Billy.

The Wedding

The Wedding Party

Well, the honeymoon's over, and it's time to get down to business. Being a Family sim, Daisy is obviously obsessed with learning to cook and clean. I'm not going to argue with that!

Billy meanwhile gets the less pleasant job of restoring order to the house after a huge party. Someone broke the toilet during the crazed rush to the toilet that guests feel obliged to hold whenever there's a gathering, and despite the fact that Daisy asked Brandi to tidy up, she left plenty of things to clean.

Looks like someone did a little more than dancing at their wedding!

Well, I hope for your sake Daisy that burnt cheesecake is as effective as non-burnt cheesecake. After all, you may not hate having a ton of kids, but there's no guarantee that any of your children will want to have more than two, which means you need to have at least three.

Billy will probably be a great dad, he's pretty much an overgrown child himself!

Daisy? Why are you bothering with a job? You know that you'll probably rarely get to go to work.
"Yes, but just think of all the maternity leave!"

"So sweetie, I got a job as a Desk Sergeant!"
"Precisely when are you planning on sitting at that desk?"
"Oh, in between babies probably."

One great thing about family sims, as long as they're married, it's fairly easy to keep them happy.

The first baby pop happens Sunday night, so we'll have to get her some decent maternity clothes tomorrow.

It appears that someone has stolen Tom's grave. I just hope Sierra took it with her, in which case I'll have her "give" it to Billy as a gift. I've looked everywhere, and it doesn't appear to have accidentally been moved elsewhere on the lot.

Good choice Daisy, that look really works for you, although your legs may get cold seeing as how it's winter.
"Are you kidding? I feel as though I've hit menopause I'm so hot most of the time."

Billy, are you sure that that's how you want your descendants to remember you?
"Yup"
Umm, okay then, it's your legacy.

Err, oops. Sorry Bonkers. Those dogs were more clever than I suspected.

Poor Bonkers, life has not been kind, first he gets demoted, his toy mouse got broken, and then he gets a stinky bed. Plus, there's a rather noisy wolf right outside his door keeping him awake. I think Bonkers should have taken a page out of Garfield's book, and stayed in bed today. See? I even gave him a bear whom I have named Pookie in honour of Garfield.

"Remember when we had a great wedding party?"
"Yes sweetheart, that was only two days ago."
"Oh, must be the pregnancy, making me nostalgic." Uh-huh

Why don't you get Billy to do that?
"He's talking with his mother on the phone."

It seems that Daisy's decided that Bonkers is the perfect test subject to decide if her mothering skills are up to par. Should have been Panda since he's almost a guinea pig already.

Baby Pop Number Two, which arrived Monday night an hour later than Sunday's. My guess is the baby should be born around 1 am on Wednesday.

Hi NightRowan, great update. Even I would never attempt a family that big, I can barely handle 5 at a time.

Just a question, why do you get your sims to take every job available?

Oh and I loved how you did the wedding collage's, very cute. Wow, your a wizard with editing them. Update soon.

I have them take all of the jobs to get my hands on career rewards so that their children/spouses can earn skill points faster and therefore have more time for a social life. This only works for sims who graduated Magma Cum Laude and who have a lot of friends/skill points so that they get job offers of at least level 5 or later. It doesn't usually work for Uni spouses because they don't have many skill points.

I'm glad you like the collages. I'm just having a ton of fun with them, and this way one photo can show what it would otherwise take 6-10 photos to show. I really love playing around with Photoshop, and the sims have always given me a way to keep in practice whether it's from collages or from doing recolors!

I, too, am loving the collages! They add a certain something that is definitely very cool.

As for big families... Legacy Challenge and ISBI, especially, broke me of being unable to handle them. I kind of enjoy them now, because things seem to 'move faster'. I have a hack that removes the family number limitations, etc.

A family of Knowledge sims, however, would likely put me to sleep! Poor Knowledge sims...
