For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo! Group or the BBS thread at the official site.

The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! Week 4 - Round 8 - University Part One

Sorry there was no post yesterday guys. I spent most of the day trawling the web watching for anyone from Switzerland who had started posting about Seasons. Of course half the sites that did have information were in German and google's translation was only so-so, but I just have to watch for any information and screenshots I can find. I have never had PEPS this bad before!

I've changed the schedule for college. I realised that I've been thinking that the college students only have one round to finish university, but that's only true if you're playing week long rotations. Since my rotations are half a week, I get to have 2 rounds to finish college. Yay! Less college for all of us! The twins won't be moving in with Rowan until absolutely necessary because holding constant dates for two sims on one lot is just too much for my brain and my pause button! Anyone know if according to the rules they HAVE to move in? They'll both join the GH, just wondering if they actually have to live there. Anyway, back to the story.


Miss Rowan here will be having a short part of the story this round. She's halfway through the second semester of her Freshman year, so she'll just be finishing off the semester, which should put her at the same time place as Billy and Bobby.

Blair here walked by, and Rowan remembered that the girls had told her that she had to join the secret society before college ended or something terrible would happen. She's got the hots for Eddie as much as I do but sadly he's engaged to April and therefore off limits. Too bad, because that would have been great!

Rowan's also busy building her skills with all the nifty gadgets laying around the house.

And unfortunately that's it for Rowan this round. Basically she made friends with Blair, studied, and went to class. Sorry you didn't get much camera time this time Rowan. Wait, no I'm not. You're being a pain in my backside. I swear that she's angry that she's not the star of this story. She refuses to roll up any good Knowledge-Sim-At-College wants. Just wants for stupid parties and hearing a wolf howl. She better smarten up though or I'll marry her to an ugly college student. Just because you're Sim-Me doesn't mean I won't do it. Even worse, I'll make you marry Goopy!

Welcome to 1 BachlorPad, the home of Billy Rainseeker.

And here he is in all his glory! No introduction though, because this lot is seriously glitched and Billy will be moving tomorrow morning.

Billy saw Daisy Garth walk by outside and decided to make friends with her. His nephew Aremis had told him all about the Secret Society. Meanwhile Cheerleader Girl showed up and everyone decided to play kicky bag together. Oh, and he went to class.

Bright and early the next day Billy moved to his new home 1 BradfordCourt. Yeah, I was lazy, I recolored and changed some furniture to suit a college sim, but I didn't bother renaming the lot.

For some reason the before mentioned glitch not only prevented Billy from popping up "Go to Class" and "Go to Final Exam", it also changed his hair, but I've decided to leave it because it rather suites him. So now Billy will finally be reintroduced.

Billy's not to pleased about having to write his term paper, especially since he never wanted to go to college in the first place.

Stupid, stupid sims. The one and only time he decides to think about the fact that he's Big Sim on Campus is in the shower. Argh!

Two things everyone needs to realise about Billy, he's a neat freak, and he's meaner than a rattlesnake. He's forever trailing bubbles or punching his fist into his hand. Too bad I couldn't get a shot of him doing both at the same time!

Billy and Daisy have grown rather close during the last semester, and it's much easier to have dream dates in a monagamous relationship, so he's decided to ask Daisy out on a date and see if the chemistry is right.

Who should show up just as the date begins but Rowan. I swear, she's trying to take over the neighborhood. Sim-me is apparently a bit evil this time around. Probably comes from constantly being cloned.

I guess they have the right chemistry!

After finishing his date with Daisy, Billy decides to play Red Hands with Rowan. Wait a second, you're being nice, why?

Oh, I see, you were just insuring that she'd finish your term paper before her fun dipped too low.

Another date with Daisy, and Billy decides to give her some help with her make-up.

"Oh Billy! I love it!"

"And I love you, now come here so I can strangle you"

Which led to, well you know.

Of course, they had to break in Billy's car too.

Daisy is a family sim and had been putting some pressure on Billy to propose, so he finally caved and asked her to marry him.

As a thank-you for taking her rather obvious hints, Daisy gave Billy a rather expensive statue.

Billy? Are you doing homework? Why?
"It's too late at night to ask Daisy on another date."

See? Rowan is constantly calling Billy. She's evil I tell you, evil.

I wasted no time what so ever in finding the perfect woman for Bobby who is my favorite of the two twins. This is Brandi Mazza. She was a dormie with Aremis and Samantha for their first few days of college, remember? I thought they'd make a perfect couple. Their clothes match, they both have awful noses, and they both have long thin faces. Bobby and Brandi obviously agree with me!

We all know that we had to have kicky bag photos eventually. Besides it's a nice safe way to get to know someone you have the hots for, right Bobby?

Bobby and Laura were never that close while Bobby lived at home, but now his little sister calls him constantly to check that he's doing ok at college.

And here's the downside to Bobby's personality. This place is a disaster! I'm not sure who knocked over the garbage can, but Bobby's the one who left it there, there are rotten newspapers on the lawn, and it's been a mess long enough to attract TWO cockroach colonies.

Thank you pest control. We don't want Bobby getting sick the way Tara did.

Good boy Bobby! Your the first of the round of college students to make it in, and you've just made it easier for everyone else to get in next year.

Yeah, because when I'm on a date with my boyfriend, I always want to smack him in the head with a sack full of rocks. Wait, I actually do want to do that half the time, but that's because we're an old married couple. You guys should be romantic.

That's more like it!

"I can't help falling in love with you"
For some reason I've had Corey Hart stuck in my head all day, even though I've been listening to Billy Idol and Queen today.

The engagement was actually Bobby's idea. Miss Brandi here is a family sim, just like Daisy.

See why I love Bobby, he actually talks about the fact that he's Big Sim right out in the living room where it's easy to take a picture.

Apparently Brandi's not too traditional, she wanted to get busy long before Bobby did.

They are the cutest couple ever! Even their underwear matches!

Near the end of the second semester, Bobby randomly rolled up the want to join a Greek House, and since he had to eventually I let him. Don't let her fool you, Rowan's just happy to be in a picture again.

Brandi really does know her man.

"Hello, police? Yes, there's a naked man fighting and invisible bull in my basement."
Sounds like a good place to end the round to me!
