These are the stories of the citizens of Knowlton - A Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge. If
you love it, if you hate it, if you saw something you wanted to talk about, PLEASE
leave comments. I'm a sad pathetic human, and I live for comments.
For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a
Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from
scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families
are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete
rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo!
Group or the BBS thread at the
official site.
The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely
deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a
city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for
miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay
have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear
their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! To start from the
beginning click here.
Hang on to your socks folks because this round's entry for the Rainseekers has plenty of action, so try to keep up, grin!
It is an oddity of the sim world that pregnant women can still have a six-pack stomach. Trust me, I've never seen this in real life, then again, I tend to gain 50lbs when I'm pregnant and while my kids are big, a lot of that is due to cravings and huge amount of fluid surrounding my boys.
Poor Bobby, he's the only one in this house who doesn't cheat. Neil, don't you think it's a little unfair to take advantage of your innocent step-son that way?
First Tom sighting!
Oh-oh! The ghosts are out in force tonight. Good thing the boys don't have school tomorrow, I doubt they'll get much sleep tonight.
Tom: Neil-3, Sierra-2, Billy-1, Bobby-1......Total=7 Mom: Neil-1, Sierra-2, Billy-1, Bobby-0......Total=4 Tom Wins the Ghost Wars
I guess Tom wasn't quite as understanding as I thought he'd be.
Yet another sim maxes out their charisma. Although in Sierra's case this is actually an obsession of hers. See Week 1 - Round 1 - Rainseeker Home for more info.
Just for you Mao, a primping Mr. Big!
I've heard of this, but never seen it, she was actually so tired that she fell asleep standing up. This woman has difficult pregnancies to start with, but add ghosts to it and it's just too much for her.
Morning has finally arrived and everyone heads back to bed to get some sleep, except Neil who had to go to work. Final Score:
Bonkers as an adult, we missed his birthday, with all the recovering from fright night.
Billy promptly decides it's time for Bonkers to learn to Come Here.
Bonkers is lord of all he surveys, or at least he thinks he is.
Oh, it's that time already is it?
Neil is at least sweet enough to be concerned about his wife, but he took off two seconds later for work. I guess we know where his priorities are.
Fraser Pederson who looks like a mini-me of Neil.
Laura Pederson, she also looks like her father.
You'd think he'd be happy about more siblings, but he acutally hates Fraser, although he has the highest relationship with Laura I've ever seen a sibling have to a newborn.
My solution to twin toddlers who will wake each other up. Doesn't matter much at this point though. Two or three times a day you do the cuddle, play, cuddle, feed, crib thing and diaper changes on demand. Simple.
Bonkers is off to his first night of work in Security. I know the windshield is dirty, but trust me, there's a cat in there! lol
Ahhhhh! Haunted microwave. Reminds me of the one my husband bought that decided right out of the box it was going to make strange noises, lose power for no reason, and the light went off and on inside of it for no apparent reason. Of course we lost the reciept.
Sunday night Tom returns. He got Billy twice, Bobby and Sierra once each.
Yup, I know a cat like this. Her name is Lucky. My neighbors daughter is constantly rescueing strays and her mom is too nice to say no, so they stay.
I swear Tom's even trying to scare Fraser. Can ghosts scare babies? I know Fraser's not too fond of Tom.
Apparently Karen thinks that Neil and Sierra are paying her to be a DJ.
Tonight's a big night with 4 birthdays to celebrate, first off at 6pm are the first set of twins.
Bobby Rainseeker Aspiration: Pleasure LTW: 50 Dream Dates Neat-5, Outgoing-3, Active-7, Playful-3, Nice-7 Pisces Turn-Ons: Full Face Makeup & Brown Hair, Turn-Off: Swimwear
As a special treat I've got a video of Billy meowing while teaching Bonkers to Speak. I'd like to apologize for the low quality. I've got my picture settings high, but this is the first video I've ever done and I forgot to change the video settings beforehand.
At 9pm(ish) the family's finally ready for the youngest twins to join in the fun. Tom joins in by scaring the skirt off of Sierra yet again.
Wow, that was quite a house! Ghosts everywhere, yikes. It's a good thing they didn't hit poor Sierra... not even her amazing six pack and pregnant belly combo would save her!
Hahaha, yay for primping Mr. Big! They do so love to primp, don't they? Very amusing... unless you're playing the ISBI challenge.
And twins, wow! They are safe from the ghosts until they're kids, luckily. The microwave, however, doesn't seem to be so lucky...
Actually the first really bad ghost night (Fright Night) they got Sierra so bad that she peed her pants, almost starved to death, and did pass out. I'm actually kinda lucky that she didn't join the ghost legion. I wonder if sims will stop meditating to be frightened. Probably. I have noticed though that they seem to be safe while reading.
Stay at home mom of 3 hyperactive boys, aged 4-13. The sims provide me with what little sanity I have left. I am a huge geek, which means I love reading, comics, computers, etc.
You're a knowledge sim. You want to know the truth about what's around you and do that by maxing out your skills and being an overacheiver in everyway you can...and trying to get your kids to do the same. But sometimes your wants (:cough:besavedfromdeath:cough:) have dire consquences... Take this quiz!

Try having someone mourn Tom & maybe he'll settle down.
