These are the stories of the citizens of Knowlton - A Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge. If you love it, if you hate it, if you saw something you wanted to talk about, PLEASE leave comments. I'm a sad pathetic human, and I live for comments.

For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo! Group or the BBS thread at the official site.

The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! Week 4 - Round 7 - 6 Maple Square (Chalmers)

This is the first time I've ever seen a Fortune sim refuse to go to work. The baby must be due today!

"Umm, Plumbbob Diety?"
Yes?
"I think it's time."
Time for what?

Oh! It's that time! Time to scream, twirl, and pop!

It's a Boy! Welcome to the world little Chad Chalmers. For now this poor kid will be sleeping in the entrance way, but once he's a toddler he'll be moved upstairs. After all, my sim toddlers never get plain ordinary cow milk, and it's easier to avoid the nanny that way. It looks like Chad has his father's eyes, his mother's hair (unless Phoenix's is dyed) and I think skin tone 2 or 3. Let's just hope you didn't get your father's nose.

Cadence, being a Fortune sim, headed right back to her favorite spot on the porch!

Despite his bad luck with the elderly (ok, it's my fault) Phoenix managed to come home with a promotion to Specialist!

This is how Phoenix meets his son for the first time. A screaming stinky baby. Oh boy! Just what I always wanted.

He really does love the little tyke though.

Well, one bad chance card deserves a good chance card right? And another promotion, plus Neil to boot! Err, I must have moved the screen too fast because I didn't catch the result with snagit afterall. He informed his superiors and they were impressed with his integrity. I think he got 1 or 2 skill points from the deal.

Ah, the classic hand-off. "Here, I think someone wants their Mommy to change their bum." I'm sure all the women out there are going "So true" and all the men are saying "I never do that" and then ducking as their wives smack them upside the head with something large and heavy.

"Happy Birthday Little Chad, Happy Birthday Little Chad
No More Stinky Diapers, and No More Sleep too!"

Good lord I'm plagued by nasty sims. It appears that Chad may have escaped his father's nose, but I think he got his jaw line, he definetly got his mother's eyelashes. Right now, this is not a cute baby, maybe he'll grow into his face. You can tell his Mommy's a rich and famous director though, he's already got his tux on for the Oscars.

Phoenix is so proud to have someone follow in his footsteps (you have 5 seconds to stop rolling your eyes at me). He wants to teach Chad all the little things like walking, and talking, and peeing like a real man. LOL!

"No loco nanny is going to give MY son cow milk. I'll just stock him up with smart milk and have Cadence help me block the fridge before work tomorrow. I've heard all about these nutsoid nannies, she's not starting a fire at my house."

He's only smiling at her because he's got her fixed. She can't start fires or feed his kid cow milk, so what harm can she do? Be careful what you say Phoenix, nannies are notarious for finding new ways to be disasters.

Thursday morning Cadence and Phoenix head off to work, hoping that the nanny won't kill Chad. It's nice to see that the love is still there though.

Icon!!! Well, this looks like a good place to end the story. Don't worry, I played till 10pm, but nothing else interesting happened.

Yay, it's the storybook house again. So purple! Poor kid, I really hope he grows into his face, too. Yikes. Hooray for Cadence getting Icon!

Also, thanks for those links to the garage tutorials. I will have to try them out sometime.
