These are the stories of the citizens of Knowlton - A Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge. If you love it, if you hate it, if you saw something you wanted to talk about, PLEASE leave comments. I'm a sad pathetic human, and I live for comments.

For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo! Group or the BBS thread at the official site.

The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! Week 4 - Round 7-1 - Sim State Uni - Whispering Winds


Welcome Back to Sim State University. We have two new college students joining us this semester, and as usual I'll be reintroducing them with their new looks.

As soon as April arrived at Kronos Dorm she called Whispering Winds to join the greek house. Eddie rushed over to greet her right away. He's been waiting for her to grow-up a long time. No wonder the poor guy looks so excited.

So what's everyone up to? Well Kirsty's writing her term paper, Eddie is stargazing, April is calling Bobby Rainseeker to tell him how awesome college life is, and Amber is painting up a storm.


It's so easy to get into the SS when all of the GH members are already SS members!


One night after Amber had gone to bed April and Eddie shared Eddie's first kiss.


It was so amazing that Eddie dropped to his knees and asked April to marry him. Of course she said yes.


"Shhhh, don't tell Amber, it's a secret!"


April's back to working on her Gold Toy Making badge. She's moved up to rainbow kites now. This girl strikes me as the unicorn type. You know, the ones whose bedrooms are all purple, have tons of stuffed animals on the bed and unicorns cover the walls and surface areas of the room. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I was the kind that had books covering all the surfaces, under my bed and piled in stacks on my floor. Still am actually.


Sierra spends almost as much time on campus as the college students do.


Eddie's trying to hide before I let you all know that he's earned a bronze badge in Flower Arranging. I think he's a bit embarrassed.


April's not having great luck with the whole kite-making thing. That is one messed up looking kite.


Yet again I missed the shots of Eddie earning badges. He's now earned his Silver Flower Arranging Badge, and April has earned her Gold Toy Making Badge. Sneaky sims always earn them while I'm occupied with someone else!


OMG! April, are you actually studying?


Where are Amber and Kirsty? I know you're wondering. Well, to be quite honest I got sick of their whining and send them out to meditate again. The quit in time for their final final exams, which they both aced of course.


Here's Amber all grown up, and with half decent clothes too. She really seems to like blue.


And here's Kirsty. I like Kirsty's skirt, but that top will have to go.


"Crazy college students, moving home in the middle of the night, what is wrong with these kids nowadays?" I don't think the cab driver was happy to be called twice in one night, and so late too.


"We're finally alone, and we can stop sneaking around!" Enjoy it while it lasts guys, because Tara is moving in next year.


Speaking of which, let's head over to the Bachlorette Pad, where Tara is currently in residence and check on her.


Well, we all knew this was how Tara would spend most of her college life. At least it keeps her aspiration up, or it does when her paintings sell well.


She even convinced April to write her term paper so she could keep painting.


She painted when Eddie and April welcomed her to the Greek House. Well, you get the idea. She's decided to stay here for the rest of the year though and move to Whispering Winds at the beginning of next year. Apparently there's a shortage of beds.


She does find time to visit with the animals. I've never seen strays at college so this may be a glitch, but if it is, I'm not above taking advantage of it. This lovely female is Allegra.


She also managed to find time to join the SS.


One day she saw a man passing by outside who had the most gorgeous eyes she'd ever seen, so she rushed out to meet him. His name was Abhijeet, and he was "totally dreamy".


Sorry folks, it's not Baxter, it's Diddy, but Tara will work on making friends with her too.


Tara, how can a sim with 8 cooking points burn Cup'O'Ramen?


Here you go sweetheart (husband-type-person), I got a shot of the firetruck this time.


This one is Pepper.


"Abhijeet honey, your totally dreamy, but you need a new look."


Wow! Now even I think he's hot! Good job Tara!


Tara had saved her first kiss for someone special. She knew that Abhijeet was the one.


And finally we meet Scout. Tara will be moving to Whispering Winds in the morning, so I doubt she'll get anymore pet visits, which is a shame.

Oooh, April and Tara have grown into two lovely ladies, and Tara is wearing a kimono! I need to find a way to sneak one of those into my game, they are so pretty. Same with the saris. Hooray for Eddie and April hooking up, can't wait to see their babies. ;) Abhijeet isn't too shabby, either... except I had to scroll back to figure out how to spell his name!

Have you checked Modthesims or TSR? There are a lot of artists there who are great at making meshes. Maybe someone's made one. I have to admit, the new clothes are the only reason I got the mini pack, and even then I wouldn't have, but I have no control. I had the same problem with Abhijeet's name. The whole time I was writing this chapter I was spelling it Abjeet, then I realised that I had to go back and change it all. I guess they didn't want to make it too North American. I have to admit that I when I made my toddlers in CAS I often started with an adult and then regressed them to toddlers. The toddlers are mostly weird looking anyway, so it's hard to tell what they'll look like grown-up.
