These are the stories of the citizens of Knowlton - A Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge. If you love it, if you hate it, if you saw something you wanted to talk about, PLEASE leave comments. I'm a sad pathetic human, and I live for comments.

For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo! Group or the BBS thread at the official site.

The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! Week 1 - Round 2 - Luworld Home

I generally hate Romance sims on principle alone, this family however just may change my mind, they're actually currently my favorite household, so they get much more screen time than anyone else. They are just so sweet, and I've seen things in their house that I've heard about but never seen, or things that I've never even heard of.

This lovely shot of Monica is for all of you out there with a Y chromosone!

This is Monica's new happy place, she spends a lot time in here. Just peace and quite and beautiful bubbles.

"OMG, it's true!" Ricky silently screams in his head, "The llamas really are invading earth"No wonder these two want to be friends! I swear I had nothing to do with this, all the families are still too poor for shopping trips, so whatever they chose when they transition is what they are stuck with. And yeah, the vacant stare means they're watching cartoons.

So Tara's been left safely at home with the nanny right? Well not quite, you see not only is the food on top of the stove burnt, she also left salmon in the oven. And she's trying to cook something else too!

Meanwhile the girls are hiding in the bathroom plotting her demise. Seems like April may have some good ideas, because Tara just looks terrified and yet hopeful at the same time. Kinda, like "please help, I have no idea what to do"

Meanwhile, in the kitchen Calista is now on fire, while trying to control laughing my head off, I realise that I've forgotten to buy a fire alarm for the family and that's why there are no fire engines outside.

I said we should let her burn, but Tara, being the sweety that she is said we should call the fire department. Besides we didn't want the social workers around. Trust me, from personal experience, social workers destroy more families than they save, and if you're a social worker, well I hope you're one of the few good ones. On the upside, Calista got it right where she deserved it!

"I always wanted to meet a real live fireman, thanks so much for saving me from the social workers, even Calista is better than that!" This shot is dedicated to my husband and all the other brave firemen out there. Sorry I missed the truck honey.

I decided to move Tara's EasyBake to her bedroom, I've heard rumors that they too can cause fires, but it seemed safer than having her anywhere near the kitchen when Calista is here. (I love nanny bashing! Not real ones of course, just sims nannies)

A small sample of the dialogue in this home (Pink for Monica, Green for Grayson):
"So honey, you're really not mad that I got a promotion when you didn't?" "Nope"
"And you're not mad about the pregnancy?" "Nope"
"So do you wanna you know?" "YUP!!!"

Saturday morning breakfast, one of the few times they can all eat together and still have time for whatever else they need to do. I mean seriously, I've never seen people take up to an hour and a half to eat cereal. Really I just thought it was cute that Tara, destined to be a fortune sim, is currently telling Grayson how much she hates money. (Note to self: start having sims adjust their interests to their aspirations/ltws)

Look you nut case, I said track my schedule, does it look like I'm going to go play in the Minor Leagues today? Don't you think that might be a little bad for the baby? Get out of my house you pyromaniac! ):|

Of course, as soon as Calista left, I had Monica start working out (I'm evil, so sue me). It's really her fault you know, if she'd had enough points she could have been doing yoga like I did when I was pregnant with each of my boys. She looks likes she's dying, but her moods are actually very high.

While she's doing that, Grayson is helping Tara with her homework, he's actually doing a good job, and I don't see how a child who skills as fast as her could find writing that puzzling, but she sure looks cute!

She is most definetly her mother's daughter though. I would have let her have her own color scheme, but she chose the pink jammies, and so the legacy continues.

Purely for the laugh factor. Now, grunt and walk around with your knuckles on the ground.

Debs, you know I love you but this is getting ridiculous, you show up practically every night uninvited, you walk in without being greeted, and then you proceed to either hog my bathroom or get in the way of people who are trying to skill. I know this house is nice, but go home. Your daughters probably downtown with some guy(or girl, who knows with Serena) and your granddaughters are all alone. Go! Leave! Out!

You see? I've never seen this before, she just started rubbing her belly and looking all content. Most romance sims would be ticked off about this, not Monica, she's absolutely thrilled about it, she's even glowing!

Hah! Sneak attack! Neither one of them had the fear at the moment so I had him ask. They're still not married though, this baby is going to have the Luworld name. I just want them to get married before one of them dies. Why do I care, you ask? Inheritance.

About an hour later, Monica is no longer glowing, in fact she looks quite upset. Whatever is the matter dear? Just groan, spin, and pop! There's a baby.

And here she is, little Loretta Luworld. Isn't she adorable? What a cutie. Hope she grows up well.

And here's another thing I didn't know. Hadn't even heard of this one. Apparently if an adult is holding the baby, children can talk to them, tried it out, doesn't do much for the relationship, but it sure is cute to watch Tara play peek-a-boo with Loretta.

And so Monday arrives after a fun and eventful weekend, and off they go to work. I'd tell you not to worry about Loretta, but they had to leave her with Calista, so even I'm a little worried.
