These are the stories of the citizens of Knowlton - A Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge. If you love it, if you hate it, if you saw something you wanted to talk about, PLEASE leave comments. I'm a sad pathetic human, and I live for comments.

For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo! Group or the BBS thread at the official site.

The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! Week 5 - Round 9 - 11 Oak Square (Barrett)


We'll jump right into the story with Tara trying to teach Blue to speak. Why oh why did I forget to check Blue's personality before I clicked that check mark? I hate Doofus dogs.

"My fiancee is nuts! We've already got three dogs and she says she wants more! What about kids?"

"Take that, and that, and that!"

Tara may love her dogs and her husband, but she's in love with her money trees, lol.

"Blessed coffee, just what I needed after working with Blue all night."
Drink it fast, your carpool will be here in an hour.

Abhijeet seems to be getting all the house/yard work this round. Tara's busy trying to train the dogs and harvesting her money trees, and Abhijeet is surprisingly happy most of the time.

Magenta's already had this chance card while she was living with Monica, but it seems that being the good guy is still the right choice. Plus, who am I to complain about receiving $10,000?

With everyone else away at work, Blue decides to check out the weather channel. She's got nothing better to do after all.

Looks like today is turning out to be a good day. Congratulations Green Puppy!

First TOC!!

Oh man! And the day was going so well too. I'm sorry Abhijeet, I just don't seem to have any luck with you.

"My fiancee is completely unable to hold down a job, I think I'm dying"

"I know what would make you feel better sweetheart...."

The next day....

"Mom, I'm getting married! I'm so happy"

The guests just barely make it to the wedding arch in time for the kiss, but it's my fault for placing it on the other side of the driveway.

I love the cake shot. Actually, I love Tara's outfit!

Like all good sims it was then time to get to work on an heir to the throne.

Loretta still hasn't quite grown-up, but at least she's not disturbing the happy couple.

"Race you to the limo!"

"Wow, it's really nice in here."
Finally, this is the first time that any married couple has actually been caught on film together in the limo. At least it's the first time in Knowlton's history.

After a nice honeymoon, the couple comes home and tidies up from the party. After that, Tara harvests, and Abhijeet calls some friends. Now that Abhijeet is recovered from getting fired yet again, it's time for him to find another job. No openings in athletics, so he takes a job in education.

Let's see if it sticks this time Blue.

I want to be a sim and get to eat leftover wedding cake for breakfast!

Wew! *Wipes sweat from brow* that was a tough call.

"I will make it to the top! I will become a Hall of Famer!"
Abhijeet spends all his free time working out so that next time there's an opening in athletics he can jump past some of the lousy jobs.

I feel sorry for Blue. When I had short dogs I always dug paths for them in the snow. Abhijeet would rather build a snowman. Why can't sims throw snowballs for their dogs?

Abhijeet's a strange one, I've never asked a complete stranger to build a snowman with me.

Tara arrives home just in time to tummy pop and notice the strange new color that Abhijeet's skin has taken on.

A nice warm sparkly meal should fix that right up. At the moment he looks like a particularly nasty zombie.

All my snowmen are evil. Course, I guess that's because all my sims are evil, sigh.

Gah! I never get this one right. At least this time she got demoted instead of getting fired.

"So here's what I learnt this week, don't stay outside too long when it's cold."

Once again an evil snowman and a penguin are plotting to take over the world.

Love the differant colours of the dogs, hee hee, looks cute. Dont worry about chance cards, I think I'm worse at them. My sims always lose something after a chance card. Great update
