These are the stories of the citizens of Knowlton - A Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge. If you love it, if you hate it, if you saw something you wanted to talk about, PLEASE leave comments. I'm a sad pathetic human, and I live for comments.

For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo! Group or the BBS thread at the official site.

The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! Week 5 - Round 10 - WWGH -Year 1

I've decided to get the first year of this week's University game play out of the way. It takes forever and it's mostly boring. The only good thing about University is that most of my sims are close to fulfilling their LTWs by the time they graduate. I'd skip blogging it, but then you'd have no idea who had hooked up with who and what had been accomplished. Plus, Uni is almost as long as the entire adult stage of a sim's life, so you'd be missing a huge chunk of everyone's story.

The girls have been sent right away to write their term papers and get them out of the way. Then they can enjoy themselves a bit.

Of course, after spending approximately four hours writing term papers, everyone's fun is pretty low even with the prolific use of snap dragons. Cora headed straight for her easel, but Loretta and Lauren, being Popularity sims, figured they'd cheer each other up.

Now that everyone's in a good mood it's time for them to do their chores.

Cora harvests her money trees....

Loretta works on her fishing badge....

and Lauren harvests her first crop of tomatoes, earning her Silver badge, but of course it happened when the only decent shot I could get was of her butt. Nice.

Err, Loretta? I don't think fishing in the middle of a lightning storm is a very good idea.

To the punching bag with you wench!
"I don't want to work out! I want to fish!"
And do you want to get fried by lightning?
*crickets chirping*
That's what I thought.

Not even torrential amounts of rain and constant lightning strikes can keep Cora from her harvesting though. Here's hoping she doesn't get hit, although since I haven't seen that yet it might be kind of fun, as long as she didn't die from it.

Lauren seems to be the brightest of the bunch, she's quite unimpressed by all this.

Way to go Loretta! Tina Rainseeker just became her 30th Best Friend!

Loretta's on a roll! Two down, one to go!

I see we've moved on from the constant tomatoes, so what are you planting now?
"Eggplants, work smart, not hard, that's my motto."

Lauren and Cora are having a hard time keeping their aspirations up, which means it's time for a date. I won't bore you with the details though. It's the same old thing, Gossip, Tickle, Pillow Fights, Entertaining, Backrubs, Flirting, Making Out, and Woohoo. It gets tedious eventually.

All right, just one date photo, originally I took the shot because I thought it was sweet, then I took a closer look at it and realized it was also hilarious. Take a moment, it'll come to you.

We still love you though Lauren! Way to go. The only sorority sister left without a Gold Badge is Cora, and I think it'll have to wait in her case since she's busy harvesting her money trees. This is good though, because now Lauren can concentrate on making friends and building a few more skills for her future in politics.

I've finally caved, two Popularity sims who have the constant want for parties. Oh joy. Oh well, here's their first toga party.

So of course all the guests gather in the band room with little time for their hosts, lol.

Leo's here! The girls just have too much to do to keep up with the flowers around here. At least Lauren had a successful party!

Lauren and Loretta, being the sweeties that they are, are trying to help Cora out with her constant want to sell masterpieces whenever they're not on the phone with their friends.

Other than that, life goes on as normal at college, going to class, doing assignments, calling friends, parties, and Lauren still working on her 30 Best Friends.

Pay attention RL Abbie, the man on the diving board that you're checking out is Paul Wolosenskio, usually dressed as the school mascot (llama for those who are reading this but for some strange reason don't play sims), form an opinion because it looks like you'll be placeholding soon.

Hmm, it appears that Coach Long feels that Abbie's gained the freshman twenty.

What a great way to end the term, a toga party with everyone playing Timlo Tourneau in the pool, during a rainstorm. Shortly after this photo I ordered everyone out of the pool because the lightning started again. I don't really mind a townie dieing, but I've worked too hard on some of these sims to let them die in the pool.

Lauren decides to finish the year with a bang by successfully hacking her grades, in her bikini no less.

Cool Greek house, I've just started one in my game. Never actually played with them before. But I have yet to do many things in this game, but I'm getting there.

Even though its uni, and I know how boring it can be. I really enjoyed this update.

Man, 30 best friends! How do you do it? That would drive me nuts.

Way to go with the badges!!

The Greek houses aren't half bad. It's really great once it gets to a high friend level and they start bringing back cheap stuff, and I have to admit watching them run around in togas is fun.

30 Best Friends, well basically all my sims do is call people until they're at 30 and then they invite them over and gossip, school cheer/joke, play red hands. Once they get to about 50 or 60, I experiment and see if they'll accept a hug. Once you've reached 30 it actually only takes a couple of hours to get to one hundred, after that it's just a matter of calling them up now and then to keep the friendship high. At least it's easier than 10 babies. I'm really not sure if Aremis and Tina will make it, but they're trying!
