These are the stories of the citizens of Knowlton - A Sims 2 Prosperity Challenge. If you love it, if you hate it, if you saw something you wanted to talk about, PLEASE leave comments. I'm a sad pathetic human, and I live for comments.

For those of you not familiar with what a Prosperity Challenge is, it's a Sims 2 Challenge in which the main focus is to build a prosperous community from scratch. There are a few catches though, everything, including your starting families are determined by the role of a dice (or in my case a randomizer). For the complete rules and setup you have two options the Yahoo! Group or the BBS thread at the official site.

The quick low down on the newly created Knowlton; Knowlton is completely deserted. It's set out in a grid, so at some point in the past it may have even been a city, but that may have been hundreds of years ago, because other than roads for miles around all you see is grass plains. Four daring families have decided (okay have been forced) to make a new start here. So come meet these daring folks, hear their stories, and wish them luck folks, they're going to need it! Week 5 - Round 10 - 6 Maple Square (Chalmers)

Last round Phoenix finished maxing out his skills, which got him his life time want and his impossible want all at once. Cadence gave birth to a little boy named Heath, who quickly had his birthday and became a toddler. Garth spent some time with the telescope hoping to get abducted, well, truthfully he doesn't know about that, but I do! There's also a debate over whether or not Heath and Garth or cute. Personally, I think they have potential, but at the moment it's their jawlines that are bugging me. They do have beautiful eyes.

Time for Cadence to switch careers again. Cadence is very much a "keeping up with the Jones'" type of sim, and she found out that there were several households in the neighborhood who had not only one but sometimes two or even three Golden Bookcases. She can't have that, her children must have every advantage possible. Why, look at that Piper girl, she managed to go to university only a few days after her 16th birthday with ALL of the scholarly scholarships. Unfortunately, there are no openings in education today, so she decides to stick with her current job since it pays well.

Friday morning after Chad's left for school, and Phoenix has left for work, little Heath is once more left with the wabbit head to entertain himself.

Why is Heath all by himself you ask? It's because Cadence being the greedy little Fortune sim that she is, is busy painting yet another masterpiece.

You two are freaks, I've never met a kid who "greets" another kid by shaking hands. That's Garth Cormier (7 Maple Square) for those of you who are having trouble keeping track of all my sims, lady knows, I am!

Chad doesn't have much choice about playing with his little brother. It's just about the only thing in the household that raises fun quickly before it gets dark out.

Poor Cadence, she doesn't really care about the garden, but Phoenix got promoted to exorcist and needed to sleep before going back to work, and Chad is exhausted.

Congratulations Phoenix, that makes two TOCs. Now go tend to your garden and then you can look for a job in Education. That way Cadence could stay in her high-pay job.

Not another Eddie! Phoenix here just earned his gold gardening badge, but like Eddie, he refuses to flash it at me.

Looks like Lady Luck is with Phoenix, he gets a job offer as a University Guest Lecturer right away!

Aww, I'm sorry sweetie, I know it's no fun doing your homework at 6am on Saturday morning, but this way it'll be done and out of your way.

For all that I love to say that Cadence only cares about money, she does spend time with the boys, although it's probably mostly because I force her to.

Yay! It's bookcase time! Since Cadence and Phoenix won't be having any more children, Chad and Heath can take their time about going to college, but the sooner they skill build, the more time they'll have for socializing later on.

Not that Chad doesn't get to socialize now, it's just preferred if he can skill build at the same time, lol.

Cadence is so close to her $100,000, that I've decided to let her write another novel since she doesn't work until Tuesday and this is a much faster way of earning the remainder of the money.

Phoenix has spent all of Saturday dealing with the garden and landscaping. I think that Celebrations may have caused an issue with the gardens, because for some reason all of my sims' gardens now have one or more plants that refuse to grow. I'm dealing with it by making the none growing plants ready to harvest whenever the growing plants are ready to harvest. It's cheating, but I'm thinking of it more as fixing an unexpected glitch.

Chad's been sent of to bed so that he can stargaze tonight which leaves Garth forced to socialize with Heath.

Rested and ready to hop to, Chad is once more sent to brave the dangers of the telecope.

Sunday. It appears that Phoenix is one of those men, that if you have a grill, you must use it, no matter the weather. I was amusing myself sprucing up their yard, and as soon as Phoenix saw the grill he knew he must use it at once, even if it had started snowing.

Tessa, aren't you cold wearing a raincoat in the snow?

"Heh heh heh, so naive and trusting...."

Finally, harvest time has arrived.

Arghhh! All that time wasted! For some reason I forgot that she doesn't count the amount she earned from the novel in her amount earned to date. Bah!

So it's back to the energizer for Cadence, who will go back to painting.

Phoenix loves his kids, but all weekend he was so busy with yard work and gardening that he didn't spend a moment with him. With snow on the ground now though, there are no more leaves to rake, and he hasn't planted a new garden yet, which leaves him with time to catch up with the kids and prepare for the visit of the headmaster tonight. Both of the boys have a birthday tonight, but I'll have little Heath grow-up after his morning nap, so that he can get into Private School too, provided we don't have another glitched visit.

Snow Day!! I think this is the first snow day that Knowlton's ever had, how exciting!

Happy Birthday Heath!

"Welcome to childhood Heath, I'm so happy I have someone to play with now."
I guess that we won't remind Chad that his birthday is tonight. And yes, I admit it, they seem to be growing into their faces, that or I'm growing accustomed to them, although their still not as cute as the Rainseekers.

The boys may not have school today, but I am a harder task master than Knowlton Academy. *evil grin*

"Welcome to our home Headmaster, let's not have any glitches, shall we?"

Chad has great timing, right in the middle of the headmaster visit he decided to grow-up.
Happy Birthday Chad!

Thank-you Headmaster!

"But Chad, I just don't understand, maxing out your skills is fine and all, but what are you planning on doing as work?"

I've never understood why little kids find this so disgusting and can't wait to run from it, but teenagers find it tons of fun.

Impossible Want Achieved!!!!
I have to admit, the life that she lived in college really helped in achieving this so quickly.

I love this house. It's so cute and... purple!

Wow... Chad has quite the cheeks!

I love the purpleness of the house, its unusual to find a simmer that uses it for a house. I love it!

I agree with Mao about Chad's cheeks, they're quiet out there. All your families are so cute, I love them all. Surprisingly I'm not having a hard time figuring out who is who. Which is a suprise, since I usually get lost in other prosperitys.

Update soon
