Week 1 - Round 1- Luwolrd Home

Monica and Tara Luworld. After another one of Monica's famous one night stands she's left with a suprise package. How will this romancing sim deal with having a family, and should we warn her that she's expected to have at least one more?

Monica's actually a pretty good mother. She settled right down to teaching Monica all her toddler skills without the aide of smart milk with no complaint what-so-ever. She even spins up wants about her daughter.

On the first day in town, Monica received a call from a mysterious downtownie inviting her on an outing. She turned him down, but liked the sound of his voice and so frequently called him to chat whenever she had a free moment from skilling her daughter. Eventually she decided she should ask him on a date to get to know him better. After a whirl wind romance date she was platinum with enough points to buy some smart milk and finish teaching Tara to talk.

I'm a little slow on the pictures today. Okay, so here is the Luworld Home. It's small, but efficient and has no wallpaper/paint whatsoever. It is however placed on a 4x4 lot. I've decided all of my sims must start on at least a 4x4 lot because doing multiple generations on anything smaller is a pain in the backside.

Overhead shot, you know we have to have one. As you can see the home is sparsely furnished for now, although once Monica gets a job it should get better quickly. Monica also seems to have a bit of a thing for pink. Poor Tara is sleeping in the kitchen and they don't have a table, but they have the essentials and at least the tv and phone won't wake her in there. In fact, they don't even have a stove so I don't need to worry about a fire alarm either. Monica actually had about $1000 left after buying this fixer-upper which is why she's able to stay home with her daughter for now.

And this is Grayson Nott. Monica REALLY likes him, can you tell? *giggle* Unfortunately he's a romance sim too, but hey, they don't HAVE to get married, that or I get sneaky and wait till neither of them is expecting it, *evil cackle*

As is the strange way with attracted sims (2L) FIRST they make out....

And then they become Best Friends.

Monica took a quick break from her date to invite Marisa in to keep Tara company while she had her hands full ;)

So on Thursday morning after having finished only her second date with Grayson, Monica asked him to move in, they still haven't even woohooed, but they'll get there, and maybe Monica will be able to get a job now. Besides we still need at least one baby out of her to inherit this house.

Monica has good reason to look smug. Grayson brought $5,326 to the family, but wait that's not all folks, he also had more than $7700 worth of items in his knapsack, really high skills in cooking, logic, and cleaning, and a high paying job as a Theorist, but his LTW is to become a Hall of Famer just like Monica, so he doesn't have to cheat, AND to top it all he's much neater than Monica with a grand total of 5 neat points to her 2 points. WOOT!!!

As soon as Grayson had moved in, I realised that our date with him had made him late for work, so the first purchase with his cash was a driveway and a crappy car. When he came home he immediately asked Monica on a date. It constantly amazes me that after all the dream dates my sims have with their partners, they still always move in with their aspiration at the minimal level, what's up with that Maxis? Anyway he fell in love with Monica almost right away...

Look at the look she's giving me, I wonder if she's knows that she's the only romance sim I've ever had that I haven't detested?

I missed Tara's birthday because a glitch with SnagIt. I've heard it's a great program and am trying to use it, but I must have something set wrong, because I was trying to get a shot of Monica and Grayson's first Woohoo and it minimized my game to tell me it couldn't get it. Meanwhile while it was loading back up Tara transitioned at the level of Miracle Mite. While a toddler, she managed to get all her toddler skills, make 4 friends other than her mother, and earn 6 Charisma points, what a wonder child!

The house has been slightly expanded since Tara needs her own room now.

All the rooms except the nursery have wallpaper/paint and flooring of the none $1 variety. Monica is still in charge of the decor so everything is still pink although Grayson got her to promise him that the master bathroom would at least be white. Monica loves him so much she even put green carpeting in the livingroom. BTW, I did NOT design the original layout of this house, all the credit goes to Tiko over at TSR, I just use his floorplan as a starting point for most of my gameplay houses. In fact all the families started with versions of his house.

Oh good! At least I got an after-the-action shot! Lord they look smug.

You know, I forgot to introduce Monica and Tara properly before. I've been trying to catch Monica with her clothes on, but she's never wearing them. This picture seems to suit her though. Pink underwear, pink wallpaper, and swooning over a man. Yup, that's Monica alright. So here's her stats:

Her turn-ons include Men, Vampires, Men, Red Hair, and oh yeah, Men! She really hates women who wear make-up though. Too much competition I guess!

Tara's already learned the importance of make-up, short skirts, and using big eyes on the people around her from her mother. She's a Libra (2-Neat, 8-Outgoing, 2-Active, 6-Playful, 7-Nice). She's also destined to be a Fortune sim (I'm keeping the aspirations that the randomiser gave the kids/toddlers, Gen 2 will get the dice), although she's really made to be a Pleasure or Popularity sim with that personality.

And that brings us to Thursday at 7pm which will be our quitting time for this round. Most rounds will last 3-4 days so that I don't have a sim whose childhood friend is still a child after a week. Besides interfamily dating at the teen level makes sense aspirationally speaking. They all have to find new partners at college for now though.

At the end of this round everyone is platinum, Monica managed to earn a few skills in the rare moments when her daughter slept, and has just gotten a job as a Team Mascot, and Grayson is coming for the paper to do the same. We better get a Nanny in here, sigh. Also, I believe I heard a little snatch of music earlier this evening that should prove interesting in the next few days.
